Elevation Youth Care Solutions are a fully registered initiative that have over the last ten years specialised in "stabilising" often out of control young people.
We were amongst the first in the UK to pioneer the "SMART" (Sport Music & Art) principle that has since become the basis of so many new organisaions.
Introduction
Elevation Youth Care Solutions have been delivering support & developement packages to young people since 1997. Social Services Departments from across the country including South Gloucestershire, West Berkshire, Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, Tower Hamlets and Swindon Borough have all contracted Elevation to undertake work with some of their most problematic young people.
The history of Elevations' success is second to none with the vast majority of accommodation placements being stable and long term. In fact 99% of all accommodation placements have ended naturally and not suffered any significant breakdown. Elevation have experienced no abscondees from daytime sessions and all of the young people who have worked with Elevation, no matter the timescale, have asked their Social Worker for more sessions. This in itself is indicative of the success of Elevations' methodology, however the observed improvement in behaviour and the reduction of criminal activity of the young people involved is perhaps a more pertinant measure of our achievements.
At Elevation we are realistic in terms of our expectations of the young people who come to us and we do not promise to turn the most problematic young people in to angels overnight. We do, however, believe in a "real world" philosophy and attempt to demonstrate the real world consequences of young peoples actions whilst providing a safety net to catch them. Our motto is "Real Kids need Real People" and this is evidenced by the make up of our staff team and the nature of the interactions we facilitate for the young people in question. In doing all of this we hope to better prepare them for life in the real world in the belief that although they may slip from time to time they will be able to recover sufficiently to maintain a "normal" life and make some positive contribution to their communities.
Elevation Currently Provide
Accommodation full 24 hour supervision packages alternative to custody options, 3 hour intensive sessions, emergency call-out services, parenting skills and family liaison sessions, sport, education, music, leisure, employment advice and independence work.
Local authorities are increasingly providing many facilities “in-house”, here at Elevation we understand that all social service departments expect value for money and best value services, but these services must be workable solutions.....Our reputation for positive outcomes is one of which we are rightly proud!
Our charges are generally lower than other similar projects and we do work closely with local authorities to fall within budgets.
Because of our success much of our work is now longer term, but we can be a viable emergency Solution.
